Tri Sigma Invited to Recolonize Alpha Delta Chapter
Woodstock, VA – March 9, 2011 – Sigma Sigma Sigma National Sorority (“Tri Sigma”) will recolonize our Alpha Delta chapter at Drexel University in fall 2011. Drexel University hosted an extension process rooted in campus partnership and open dialogue, and Tri Sigma approached the on-campus extension committee in late 2010. Our positive results were the outcome of the commitment of a full Tri Sigma team, our newest alumnae chapter, the Philadelphia Area Alumnae Chapter, and area alumnae and collegiate chapters who supported the efforts on campus.
The Tri Sigma experience at Drexel University will be focused on the Essential Sigma member development program, designed to create a values-centered environment that nurtures women and provides them with the tools they need to succeed in all aspects of life. Personal empowerment, purposeful philanthropic and community service, meaningful sisterhood experiences, and an environment rooted in our tradition of human dignity are hallmarks of every Tri Sigma chapter. We share Drexel’s commitment to a values-focused experience for all members of the fraternity and sorority community, and we are proud to return to this vibrant, dynamic campus.
Our innovative Colony Program is focused on strategic student success outcomes, and will be adapted to meet specific Drexel community and colony needs. We offer a full menu of developmental leadership programs, an award-winning member development experience, and a focus on student success through campus partnership.

I’d like to help Drexel. I’ve been trying to get an online account to fill in the volunteer form, but it won’t take my e-mail!
This is great news for Philadelphia. Let’s work on Delta Nu (Franklin & Marshall) next!
Great news, and congratulations!!! I’m sure Alpha Delta’s everywhere are thrilled!!!
I hope everyone realizes how AWESOME it is for Tri Sigma to be back at Drexel University! As one of the first engineering schools in the country to admit women, our Alpha Delta chapter was founded there in 1926, one year after the first NPC group installed at Drexel. This is an absolutely wonderful school and Greek Community that consistently gathers multiple awards at NGLA. My husband is a 1987 graduate of Drexel and even he is happy that Sigma will be rejoining DU’s campus!
Wonderful news!!!
