Read "The Help", earlier this year. What a great story, and I can't wait to see the movie. The main white characters are all sisters of (I think) Chi Omega. I was wondering if the author had to get Chi Omega's permission to use their name in her the book?

"The Art of Racing in the Rain" is AWESOME.
I read it in May (I was sucked in by the dog on the cover and then even more sucked in by the great story). The price on Amazon for the Kindle edition is good too! Just make sure you order THE ART of Racing in the Rain. There is a Young Adult version that is just titled "Racing in the Rain" and is slightly modified. It's the story of one family's life and struggles told through the eyes of their beloved dog Enzo. I definitely recommend this one.

I really want to read "The Help." (It's next on my Kindle downloads list.) "Summer and the City" and "Girls in Trucks" sound really good too. I think I am going to need to expand my book budget a little bit!

I just decided a few weeks ago to get back into reading and went and got a library card. I'm printing this list off and putting in my purse so I can check it off all summer. Thanks so much!

Thanks, Vanessa! We've changed it! (I read the summary on Amazon and it sounded too strange to be true - in a good way!) Sounds like a fascinating book!
